Tanonov
Anton graduated from the Saint-Petersburg Conservatory where he studied
composition from Professor Slonimsky Sergey M.
He
was granted in the Byret Festival, Germany in 1997. He won the first price at
the students’, post-graduates’, young scientists’ and specialists’
Saint-Petersburg grant delivery concourse in 1999. In 2005 his opera “Khalyava”
(upon one of Gogol N. V. literary work “Viy”) took the third price in the young
composers’ competition, arranged by Mariinsky (former Kirov) Theatre. At autumn,
2005 Tanonov’s composition “25 Mobil preludes for symphony orchestra” was
awarded the “Orchestra price” by Big Symphony Orchestra (cond. Fedoseev V.)
named after Piotr Iliyich Tchaikovsky.
Tanonov
Anton is the author of cameral music compositions and symphonic works which are
being performed in Russia, Austria and Germany. There are some film scores
among his composition works.
Now
Anton Tanonov is a lecturer at the Composition and Instrumentation Department
of Saint-Petersburg Conservatory.
